We are a member supported affinity group of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Presbyterian Voices For Justice (PV4J) is still here!

Due to unexpected departures from the PV4J Coordinating Team, PV4J has been inactive. But we are reorganizing and will have a presence at GA in Baltimore including the Voices of Sophia Breakfast, the Witherspoon Dance and a booth in the exhibit hall.

Bear Ride is serving as Moderator.  Because she is currently dealing with health issues, former Co-Moderator Manley Olson has “come out of retirement” and is assisting with GA planning.  Vicki Moss will again be in charge of the booth and Barbara Smith continues as Treasurer.

Several years ago, PV4J discontinued annual membership dues and relies on voluntary contributions from supporters.  However, there has been no Network News nor any request for support since the 2018 GA.  Thus we are asking supporters of PV4J to step up and help make our presence at GA possible.

Please send checks to Barbara Smith   97 Heritage Loop    Crossville, TN 38571

If you live in the Baltimore area or are planning to attend GA, we could use your help at our events.  If you can give us some volunteer time, please contact us.

We hope to get a redesigned PV4J website up and running soon.  If you have expertise in website design or operation, please contact Vicki Moss (347) 907-9849 luseana@me.com

Between now and the conclusion of GA, we will be making decisions about the future of PV4J.  We solicit your thoughts about the need for us to continue, what direction that could take and your willingness to assist to planning that future.

Thank you for your past support of PV4J.

The Mission of Presbyterian Voices for Justice

We are a spirited and passionate community

of women and men in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

who are called to proclaim the Gospel vision

of God’s extravagant love and justice

in church and society.

We seek the wisdom of the Spirit for following Christ’s example

and for living into the hope of sustained gender equality,

racial reconciliation, full human rights for LGBT persons,

economic justice, environmental wholeness,

an end to war and all forms of violence,

and a justice-loving shalom over all the earth.

We commit to risking the transformation of our own selves

and our organization

to live into this vision,

even as we invite both church and society

to meet this challenge.
