We are a member supported affinity group of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Friends!  Presbyterian Voices 4 Justice (formerly known as the Witherspoon Society and Voices of Sophia) are at a crossroads.  We're in the process of assessing our future.  Both organizations have been integral in moving the PCUSA to a more just and justice-loving place over the decades.  Shall we continue?  Will the fabulous Witherspoon Dance, the rip-roaring feminist spirit of the Voices Breakfast and our favorite booth where you can pick out your favorite buttons & etc go on?  Please send me an email with your opinion/suggestions/volunteer-ability with "PV4J" in the subject line: bear.ride@gmail.com.  Bless you.  Bear Ride, Moderator pro-temps

We are at work planning for the 224th GA in Baltimore, MD.   We hope to be offering a Voices of Sophia Breakfast, the BOOTH where you can satisfy all of your button needs, and of course, the Witherspoon Dance.  Stay tuned for info on our GA events and please come see us in Baltimore!

The Mission of Presbyterian Voices for Justice

We are a spirited and passionate community

of women and men in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

who are called to proclaim the Gospel vision

of God’s extravagant love and justice

in church and society.

We seek the wisdom of the Spirit for following Christ’s example

and for living into the hope of sustained gender equality,

racial reconciliation, full human rights for LGBT persons,

economic justice, environmental wholeness,

an end to war and all forms of violence,

and a justice-loving shalom over all the earth.

We commit to risking the transformation of our own selves

and our organization

to live into this vision,

even as we invite both church and society

to meet this challenge.
